Speaking ahead of today's Scottish Parliament Members' Business Debate on National Lyme Disease Awareness Month, Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston is marking today in support of those living with Lyme Disease.
Mr Halcro Johnston said: "It is estimated that there are between 3,000 and 4,000 new cases of Lyme Disease each year in the UK, including many people in communities across the Highlands and Islands.
"It is challenging enough suffering from Lyme Disease, but living in rural and island communities can often mean people are further from diagnosis, treatment and from vital support.
"Lyme Disease Awareness Month is a chance to highlight those needs and to show support for those living with Lyme Disease.”
