> In February, Highlands and Islands MSP Jamie Halcro Johnston’s annual Parliamentary Report, accompanied by his survey on key issues facing constituents, was sent out to homes across the region.
> Issues raised have included concerns over local health services, the state of local roads, and a lack of Scottish Government support for local business, and Mr Halcro Johnston has said he is keen to hear from more of his constituents and that there’s still time to have your say.
Mr Halcro Johnston said:
“My annual Parliamentary Report is an important way of keeping my constituents across what is a vast and diverse region updated on what I’ve been doing on their behalf.
“But equally as important is that it provides an opportunity for feedback on some of the issues that matter most to local people, such as how they feel local health services are being delivered, the state of our schools and how vital transport links are working – or not working – for them and their businesses.
“It is also a chance for people to raise with me specific cases where they think I can help, and I’m already acting on a number of these, including on the lack of dentistry and pressure on our GP services, and on the housing crisis facing communities across the Highlands and Islands.
“There’s been a great response to the survey, but I want to hear from as many people as possible and there’s still time to get the survey completed and sent back to me”.
Mr Halcro said completed surveys can be posted to him at Holyrood at the following address The Scottish Parliament, Edinburgh EH99 1SP or scanned and emailed back to him at [email protected] .
Alternatively, the survey can be filled out and submitted online via his website at https://www.jamiehalcrojohnston.org.uk/2024-survey
